I am wondering if the bad reviews were the new designers of the proposed remodel!
I am HORRIFIED at the proposed design!
I love the lounge! It is a lounge ! Comfy couches and comfy chairs !
It is spit up perfectly for family and friends to rest and recoup after being at Mayo all day,
After surgery on my leg, I sat in "my chair "and watched my fire place and my tv show!
Please don't change this regal hotel!
Please don't mess with CLASSIC comfortable ELEGANCE
This hotel is STUNNING!
Please don't replace elegance with modern uncomfortable cafeteria type furniture!
The colors are stark white and ridiculous green!
People are trying to rest and heal!
I could go to MaRRIOT next door if I wanted modern
This is a place that serves royalty from all over the world! The towers reflects elegance and treats us like royalty.
The Kahler towers reflects elegance and kindness from employees like no other place I have seen.
Kahler Towers is a refuge of peace and comfort!
I truly am wondering where I will stay from now on!
The new proposal for lounge is cafeteria uncomfortable modern.
What is going on????
You are about to destroy beautiful history for cheap looking uncomfortable modern!
Why ????
I hope this finds the person in charge before they tear down restful elegance for modern crap.
I am here now , not one person here that I have spoken with are pleased with these ugly pictures proposed lounge
I come several times a year so do a lot of these that are here now! We come for the lounge not a cafeteria.
Can you imagine surgery or in a wheel chair trying to maneuver thru the sea of white tables and stiff looking chairs?
Please don't destroy this restful beauty.
You will ruin the tower

Not what I was expecting
This is marketed as the only 5 star hotel in Rochester so my expectations were very high. However, the positives were outweighed by the negtaives. Firstly, the staff at the front desk of the Kayler Grand were pleasant and called concierge from the Towers part of the hotel who came to collect me from reception. They were very kind and took me to my room and told me about the various dining options. Towers guests have access to the lounge on the 11th floor where they served complimentary wine and food. My room on the 10th floor was very big with a nice bathroom with a shower and sink unit. All very clean. The bedroom was also large and had a fridge with complimentary water. It was also very quiet. However, it smelled like a hospital with a strong antiseptic smell which made me wonder if a patient from the Mayo Clinic had stayed there before me and they had to deep clean the room. Also, the bed sheets were stained and smelled like they hadn't been cleaned plus the pillows also smelled like they needed a good wash. Had I not have been exhausted after a 20 hour journey, I would not have slept in that bed. Quite honestly, I was happy to leave because I felt like a patient at the Mayo with the clinical smells and general feeling of being at a hospital. It's very ex[ensive to stay there which would be acceptable if I was wanting a 5 star hotel as a Mayo clinic patient but as a business traveller, do not stay here
